We do not have to agree on everything to work together on something.

Many communities already have the people, knowledge, resources, programs, and ideas needed to make meaningful progress.

The challenge is often finding one another.

Become a Community Connector

Organizations and individuals participating in the Unity Mission are called Community Connectors.

Community Connectors remain completely independent.

Being connected does not require an organization or individual to:

  • endorse Protect the Collective;

  • agree with other Community Connectors;

  • participate in every project;

  • support PTC advocacy positions;

  • contribute money or resources; or

  • change its own mission, policies, or priorities.

Connection creates opportunity—not obligation.

Community Connectors decide for themselves when, where, and how they participate.

The Unity Mission is organized through local Protect the Collective chapters and a broader network of Community Connectors.

Local chapters help communities identify:

Who is already helping.
What resources already exist.
What is currently needed.
What projects are underway.
Who may be able to help.

The larger PTC network allows useful ideas, resources, partnerships, and models to move between communities rather than requiring every community to start from zero.

What Can Community Connectors Do Together?

There is no required activity.

Connections may lead to:

Community projects
Gardens, resource initiatives, accessibility projects, environmental work, neighborhood improvements, and other locally identified efforts.

Events
Community festivals, educational programs, resource fairs, workshops, volunteer events, and public conversations.

Resource sharing
Supplies, expertise, volunteers, facilities, transportation, professional services, information, and introductions.

Education & research
Making credible research, public information, community experience, and expert knowledge easier to understand and use.

Problem-solving
Connecting an organization that needs something with another organization or person that may already have it.

Public-interest collaboration
When appropriate, independent Community Connectors may voluntarily choose to participate in specific civic or advocacy efforts.

Independence Is Part of the Design

Protect the Collective does not control its Community Connectors.

Community Connectors do not control Protect the Collective.

Participation in the Unity Mission does not constitute blanket endorsement of PTC or any other participant.

Any specific project, public statement, advocacy initiative, or other collaboration requiring a participant's support is handled separately and voluntarily.

Nothing is automatically endorsed. Nothing is automatically joined.
