Understand what Palestinians have endured. Help people survive. Support their rights and dignity.
Supporting Palestinian civilians does not require supporting Hamas, antisemitism, attacks on Israeli civilians, or hatred toward Jewish people.
It means recognizing that Palestinian civilians have human rights too—including children, families, medical workers, journalists, disabled people, refugees, and people simply trying to live their lives.
The humanitarian devastation Palestinians have experienced is not speculation.
It is extensively documented by the United Nations, World Health Organization, humanitarian organizations, journalists, medical workers, and international courts.
What Have Palestinians Been Living Through?
Palestinians have experienced decades of displacement, military occupation in the West Bank, settlement expansion, movement restrictions, home demolitions, detention, violence, and recurring conflict.
Since October 7, 2023, Gaza has experienced catastrophic destruction following the Hamas-led attacks in Israel and Israel's subsequent military campaign.
By September 2026, humanitarian organizations report that tens of thousands of Palestinians have been killed, many more injured, most of Gaza's population has experienced displacement, enormous portions of housing have been damaged or destroyed, and Gaza's healthcare, water, sanitation and other essential systems remain severely damaged. This is not simply a disagreement between governments.
Millions of ordinary people have been living through its consequences.
🏚️ Gaza
The October 2025 ceasefire reduced the intensity of the conflict, but it did not end Gaza's humanitarian catastrophe.
As of September 2026, UN humanitarian reporting says:
Airstrikes and other attacks are still causing civilian casualties.
Repeated displacement continues.
91% of assessed households face moderate-to-high water insecurity.
Medical supplies remain critically limited.
Overcrowded displacement sites face sanitation, disease and flooding risks.

Food insecurity also remains enormous: the UN reported that more than 1.2 million people were still experiencing Crisis-level or worse food insecurity during part of 2026, with conditions projected to deteriorate again. (OCHA Palestine)
🏥 Healthcare
Gaza's healthcare system has been devastated.
The World Health Organization says 2.9 million people across the occupied Palestinian territory require humanitarian health assistance in 2026, while Gaza's health system remains severely degraded and violence and movement restrictions also interfere with healthcare in the West Bank. People still need:
Trauma surgery
Cancer treatment
Maternal care
Medication
Rehabilitation
Prosthetics
Mental-health treatment
Treatment for chronic disease
Clean water and sanitation
These needs don't disappear when bombing decreases.
🏘️ The West Bank
Palestinian suffering is not limited to Gaza.
The UN reports continuing settler violence, Israeli military operations, demolitions, movement restrictions, property destruction and displacement in the occupied West Bank.
Between January and August 2026, the UN documented more than 1,600 settler attacks resulting in Palestinian casualties or property damage across 275 communities.
More than 4,000 Palestinians had been displaced during 2026 through demolitions, evictions, settler attacks and related access restrictions as of September. (OCHA Palestine)
⚖️ What About Genocide?
Be precise here because this word has legal meaning.
South Africa brought a case against Israel under the Genocide Convention before the International Court of Justice.
The ICJ has not issued a final judgment determining that Israel committed genocide.
It did, however, issue legally binding provisional measures requiring Israel to take measures to prevent acts prohibited by the Genocide Convention, prevent and punish direct and public incitement to genocide, and facilitate urgently needed humanitarian assistance. It later strengthened those measures as conditions deteriorated. (International Court of Justice)
Some major humanitarian and human-rights organizations now explicitly describe Israel's conduct in Gaza as genocide; others use different legal characterizations. Israel strongly rejects the genocide accusation and argues its military campaign targets Hamas rather than Palestinians as a people.
You don't need to distort the legal status to communicate the severity of what Palestinians have endured.

Money isn't the only form of support.
You can:
Learn Palestinian history from credible sources.
Share verified humanitarian information rather than graphic or unverified social-media posts.
Support Palestinian artists, writers, businesses and organizations.
Attend peaceful demonstrations and community events.
Contact elected officials about U.S. policy.
Ask Congress about weapons transfers and military assistance.
Advocate for humanitarian access and protection of civilians.
Oppose antisemitism, Islamophobia, anti-Arab hatred and dehumanization at the same time.

Don't rely solely on Israeli government statements, Palestinian political organizations, American politicians, TikTok, Instagram, or PTC.
Read humanitarian reporting and primary documentation yourself.
🇵🇸 Supporting Palestine Is Supporting People
Palestinians are not Hamas.
Israelis are not their government.
Jewish people around the world are not responsible for decisions made by the Israeli government.
Muslims and Arabs are not responsible for Hamas.
Human beings should not inherit collective guilt because of their ethnicity, religion, nationality, or government.
Supporting Palestinians means refusing to look away from mass civilian death, displacement, hunger, destroyed communities, lost childhoods, damaged healthcare, and the denial of basic human dignity.
You can condemn the killing of Israeli civilians on October 7 and demand protection, freedom and dignity for Palestinians.
Those positions are not contradictory.
