🏛️ Want Congress to Consider Impeachment?
Citizens cannot directly impeach a president—but they can organize and petition Congress to act.
Under the Constitution, the House of Representatives has the sole power of impeachment, while the Senate conducts an impeachment trial. A president may be impeached for “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”
So if you believe presidential conduct warrants impeachment, the practical target is Congress.
1. Find your U.S. House representative
Start with the person who represents your congressional district.

Will you support an investigation into whether [SPECIFIC CONDUCT] constitutes an impeachable offense?
Focus on specific conduct and evidence, rather than simply asking Congress to remove a president you oppose politically.
2. Contact House leadership and the relevant committees
Impeachment proceedings occur in the House. Historically, the House Judiciary Committee has played an important role in presidential impeachment investigations.

3. Build an evidence file
Don't build the campaign around viral posts.
Create a public document containing:

Relevant law or constitutional issue
Primary-source evidence
Court findings, if relevant
Government records
Statements from the administration
Congressional records
Credible independent reporting
Then separate:

That makes the campaign much harder to dismiss as purely partisan.
4. Create a specific congressional request
Instead of:
“Impeach the president!”
start with something Congress can act on:
“We are asking the House Judiciary Committee to investigate whether [specific conduct] constitutes an impeachable offense and publicly report its findings.”
If sufficient evidence already exists, the request can become:
“We are asking our representatives to introduce or support articles of impeachment concerning [specific conduct].”
5. Organize constituents
Build a coalition around the conduct, not simply dislike of the president.
